ORLANDO SPORTS MEDICINE GROUP NEWS
OSMG and UCF to Collaborate on Research Project
Patrick Pabian, PT, DPT, SCS has been appointed as a Research
Fellow for the University of Central Florida College of Health and
Public Affairs Research Council. This is a year long appointment
for Dr. Pabian who is the Academic Coordinator of Clinical
Education for the Department of Physical Therapy at UCF.
During this time, OSMG will be working with Dr. Pabian and UCF to
develop a research study involving the promotion of physical activity
in sedentary adults. This is a pilot project for further studies as
Orlando Sports Medicine Group works to become a leader in
evidence-based practice and health promotion for individuals of all
ages.
AVOID INJURIES DURING SPRING AND SUMMER BASEBALL
It's time for spring and summer baseball again. It's a fun and
exciting time and you can take steps to reduce the chance of
injuries to your child or team.
Daron Kirkreit, PT, DPT - Doctor of Physical Therapy and former
professional baseball player - has created some useful guidelines
for Youth Throwers.
